Gracie Draaisma is the daughter of Harry and Maureen Draaisma. She was born and raised with her three brothers in the small town of Maple Ridge in British Columbia. Though she was incredibly shy when she was young, she found her voice, and her ion for acting in high school. During this time, she was also a part of the school and community women's rugby team, as well as a student of the Kaizan Academy of Martial Arts, where she achieved her black belt in the art of Goju Ryu karate. After high school, Gracie auditioned for, and was accepted into the acting for stage and screen diploma program at Capilano University where she spent three years learning about, developing and honing her craft.
