Nick Neidermeyer was first introduced to the show as Harriette Winslow's obnoxious boss from Ferguson's Department Stores in Season 7 as the final member of Carl's poker game. He immeidately cleans up on the first game and makes him and his poker buddies miserable. Knowing his wife's position at work was on the line, Carl tries to tolerate him. However, Harriette's had enough and tells Nick off for what he did and dared him to fire her. He tells her that he would've fired her right now, if he wasn't transferred to the automotive department. With no authority over Harriette, Carl and her pays him back for all the misery he caused to them.From Dream Date on, Nick takes over Urkel's roll as the Winslow's next-door neighbor. While Steve was the most annoying next-door neighbor the Winslow family had until the end of season 6, Neidermeyer was the most obnoxious neighbor they had.
